Elizabeth Hargrave helped designers David Gordon and Michael O'Connell turn this game into something familiar but different from Wingspan, by diving deep into the fish theme. A smoother gameplay will make the game more accessible and introduce an informed audience to the full range of games developed by Elizabeth Hargrave at Stonemaier Games.
With a new approach to the mechanics of painting and exploring habitats - the plateau is vertically oriented to simulate scuba diving, and your character is a diver! You are a marine researcher who seeks to find and observe a range of aquatic life in the colourful “Sunlight Zone”, the ghostly “Twilight Zone” and the dark “Midnight Zone” of the world’s seas and oceans.
In Finspan, the fish you discover over the 4 weeks will generate a range of benefits as you dive deeper into the ocean.

The winner is the player who has accumulated the most points through fish, eggs, young, benches and achievements.
