The main character in this story, a young girl, thinks safety rules are a waste of time. She chats online with a boy she doesn’t know. She feels so safe at home, behind her computer screen, that she tells him a lot about herself. One day, during her soccer game, she hears a man call her by her nickname. She knows right away that something is wrong, because she doesn’t know this man. That’s when she realizes that the rules aren’t a waste of time and that they exist for a reason: to keep her safe!
